Event Planner - US Based

Job Summary

Are you organized, creative, and enjoy a great event? As an event planner for Espere, you create opportunities for people to make a personal connection to the important and unique work that Espere is doing, from your home in the US. Event planning requires someone who can be outgoing, innovative, detail-oriented and excited about bringing people together to make a difference. In collaboration with Espere team members, you will practice devising, executing and managing unique and meaning events based on your passion and experience such as:

  • Home-based gatherings

  • Participation in fairs or festivals

  • Awareness raising events

  • Gala fundraisers

  • Athletic benefit events


Primary Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Espere team to brainstorm and devise events.

  • Network and coordinate event logistics.

  • Manage fun and meaningful events to make a difference for Mental Health in Haiti!



  • Past fundraising or event planning experience, (from Corporate events to birthday parties).

  • Creativity and a can-do attitude.

  • Organized and skilled at planning.

  • Passion for spreading peace of mind in Haiti.

Additionally, individuals with specific skillsets outside of these areas are also encouraged to apply. Interns MUST be at least 21 years old.

  • Spring:   February - May

  • Summer:   June - August

  • Fall:   September - November


  • Interns will live in a safe, furnished apartment close to Espere staff.

  • An internship fee which includes airport pickup & drop off, lodging, one meal per day, and work-related transportation is required.

  • This fee does not include flights, travel vaccinations, travel insurance, cultural excursions, extra food or any other personal expenses. These are the responsibility of the intern and can be raised through support.
