Team Participation in Planning

Less than a week after Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti's southern peninsula, wreaking havoc on most of the country, Espere's team of mental health workers gathered together to discuss the needs assessment visit to Les Cayes, and how our organization can most effectively help. All team members present have been actively practicing psychology in Haiti for more than the past year. Together we discussed the types of mental health interventions that would be most effective in this disaster. We discussed the needs of the team during the coming months. Our efforts are made rich by our Haitian professionals and their passion for bettering the lives of others, often without compensation.
